What does this test measure? The dissolved and suspended material left behind after water evaporates from a sample.
π¬ A measured water sample is placed in a prepared evaporation dish and dried in an oven. The remaining residue is cooled in a desiccator, which protects it from moisture, and weighed using an analytical balance.
