Water Supply is gearing up for a splash-tastic season at Costley Mill Beach! We collected water samples for Bac-T testing, which detects coliform bacteria (such as E. coli) to ensure the water is safe for swimming. We test twice a month all season long. Your safety is our top priority! The beach’s water flows in from Jack Turner Dam via a tributary stream. As for those white suds or bubbles you might spot. That’s harmless natural foam, also called organic lake foam, created by wind, rain, and nature’s organic mix. Just nature doing its thing! Rockdale County Water Resources will keep an eye on conditions all season long, so you can dive in with confidence!
