Rockdale County’s 2026 Back-to-School Bash was an overwhelming success, bringing together families, community partners, volunteers, and local leaders for a day dedicated to preparing students for a successful school year. Held at Wheeler Park, the annual event was a collaborative effort between Rockdale County, the City of Conyers, and Rockdale County Public Schools to ensure students have the resources they need to begin the school year with confidence.
Thousands of children attended the event and received free school supplies, helping families ease the financial burden of back-to-school shopping. Students and their families also enjoyed a fun-filled atmosphere featuring community resources, family activities, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with organizations committed to supporting education and youth development.
Rockdale Water Resources was proud to participate in this year’s event by helping everyone stay cool and hydrated. Throughout the day, the department served cold, refreshing drinking water from the Thirst Burster, providing a welcome break from the summer heat. The Thirst Burster was a popular stop for attendees, reminding the community of the importance of staying hydrated while showcasing Rockdale Water Resources’ commitment to promoting healthy habits and serving the residents of Rockdale County.
The success of the event would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors, community organizations, volunteers, and dedicated staff members who donated their time and resources. Their commitment to serving Rockdale County’s students reflects the strong spirit of partnership that continues to make our community a great place to live, learn, and grow.
Rockdale County extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Back-to-School Bash a memorable event. Together, we are investing in the future by ensuring our students are equipped, encouraged, and ready for a successful 2026–2027 school year.
