Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful (KCRB) recently hosted a successful Rain Barrel Workshop, bringing residents together to learn how to conserve water, reduce stormwater runoff, and protect our local rivers and streams. The workshop was facilitated by Fletcher Sams of Altamaha Riverkeeper and made possible through the generous support of Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Altamaha Riverkeeper as part of the Cultivate Initiative. Participants received hands-on instruction on rainwater harvesting, learned how to install and maintain a rain barrel, and took home a rain barrel and installation kit to use at home.
KCRB extends a special thank you to Rockdale County Stormwater Management for volunteering at the workshop and providing refreshments. Their continued partnership helped make the event a success. Eligible attendees also received a Stormwater Utility Credit for participating.
