Rockdale County Water System has issued a Boil Water Advisory effective 7:30 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The advisory applies to customers in the northern portion of Rockdale County, specifically the service area north of Interstate 20 (I-20).
The Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure following a water system event that may have affected system pressure and water quality. Customers in the affected area are being advised to bring all water intended for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, and food preparation to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute before use.
Rockdale County Water System is actively investigating the cause of the event, restoring normal system conditions, and collecting the required bacteriological samples. The advisory will remain in effect until the Georgia EPD requirements have been satisfied and laboratory results confirm that the water is safe for consumption.
