Report Water Outage

At the Rockdale County Water Treatment Plant, protecting the quality of our community’s drinking water is a responsibility we take seriously.

The water quality testing area pictured here is where our certified Water Treatment Operators perform routine testing to ensure each stage of the treatment process is working effectively. Water samples are collected from multiple points throughout the plant and analyzed to determine how well the treatment chemicals are performing.

The results provide operators with important, real-time information. When needed, they make careful adjustments to chemical dosages to keep the treatment process effective and efficient.

Operators also test the finished water before it leaves the plant to confirm that it meets the safe drinking water requirements established by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).

Testing is performed every two hours—24 hours a day, seven days a week. This continuous monitoring helps our team maintain dependable water quality around the clock.

Every sample collected, every test completed, and every adjustment made supports one essential goal: providing the Rockdale County community with safe, high-quality drinking water every day.
