Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes to help ensure your drinking water is safe and high quality?

Pictured are two important pieces of laboratory equipment used by Rockdale Water Resources: our Hach HQ411d pH Meter and Hach TU5200 Turbidimeter. These instruments give our operators important information about water quality throughout the treatment process.

๐Ÿงช pH Meter โ€” Keeping Water in Balance
The pH meter measures how acidic or basic the water is. Maintaining the proper pH is important because it can affect chemical reactions during treatment, including coagulation and disinfection, as well as the overall quality of the finished drinking water.

๐Ÿ” Turbidimeter โ€” Checking Water Clarity
The turbidimeter measures turbidity, or the amount of suspended material that can make water appear cloudy. Testing turbidity throughout the treatment process helps operators determine how effectively particles are being removed and monitor the performance of the clarification and filtration processes.

โฐ Every 2 Hours. 24 Hours a Day. 7 Days a Week.

Our certified Water Treatment Operators perform these tests every two hours, around the clock. This continuous monitoring allows our team to quickly identify changes in water quality and make treatment adjustments when necessary.

๐Ÿ’™ Water quality monitoring never stops at Rockdale Water Resources.

These routine laboratory tests are just one part of the important work happening behind the scenes every day to provide our community with safe, reliable, high-quality drinking water.
