Report Water Outage

(770) 278-7500

The Water Supply Department plays an important role in protecting and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our community’s water supply. Dam monitoring is a key part of that responsibility.

Reservoir Levels
Water Supply staff track reservoir elevations to understand available water storage and changing conditions caused by rainfall, drought, and water demand.

Monitoring Wells & Piezometers
These instruments provide valuable information about groundwater levels and water pressure around the dam. Tracking measurements over time helps identify changes and developing trends.

Seepage & Drainage
Staff routinely observe seepage and drainage areas for changes in flow, location, or appearance that may require additional evaluation.

Routine Inspections
Vegetation, animal activity, cracks, settlement, drainage features, and other conditions are monitored as part of ongoing dam maintenance and safety efforts.

Water Supply Matters

Dam monitoring is more than collecting measurements. The Water Supply Department uses monitoring data, inspections, maintenance, and long-term trends to help protect our reservoir, maintain critical infrastructure, and support a safe and reliable water supply for Rockdale County.
