Rockdale County Water Resources (RWR) is continuing to monitor water quality following the precautionary boil water advisory issued for the northern portion of Rockdale County.
RWR has collected microbiological water samples for total coliform testing at 20 locations throughout the affected area. Laboratory results are expected within the next 24 hours by noon tomorrow.
If all test results meet state and federal drinking water quality standards, the precautionary boil water advisory will be lifted. Until then, customers in the affected area should continue to boil water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation.
RWR will provide another update as soon as all laboratory results have been received. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
