Today, Maria Flint, Utility Education Specialist for Rockdale Water Resources, had the privilege of serving as the guest speaker at the Rockdale County Soil and Water Conservation District meeting.
Maria presented an engaging discussion on the importance of water conservation and stormwater protection, emphasizing how every resident can play a role in preserving one of Rockdale County’s most valuable natural resources.
Presentation topics included:
- 💧 Conserving drinking water through simple everyday practices
- 🌧️ Preventing stormwater pollution to protect local streams and rivers
- 🚫 Understanding that storm drains flow directly into our waterways
- ♻️ Proper disposal of chemicals, oils, pet waste, and litter
- 🌎 How community involvement strengthens environmental stewardship
