On February 26, 2026, a spirit of collaboration and professional development was on full display as Christina Jones, Training and Safety Coordinator for the Fayette County Water System, brought members of her team to the Rockdale County Water Treatment Plant for an educational plant tour hosted by Plant Superintendent Christine Lackey.
The tour was led by Chief Operator Tim Check and Class III Operator Michael Moses, who guided visitors through the facility while providing detailed explanations of the water treatment processes, operational controls, and safety considerations that support the delivery of safe and reliable drinking water.
Plant Division Manager Vernoy Murray was also present, offering additional insight into system operations and helping facilitate a valuable exchange of knowledge and best practices between the two utilities.
Visits like these strengthen professional partnerships, encourage the sharing of industry expertise, and support ongoing efforts to maintain high standards in water treatment and public health protection.
