In the Rockdale Water Resources Warehouse, staff are taking proactive steps to support sustainability and responsible materials management. As part of our ongoing asset-recovery and recycling efforts, the warehouse team is now scrapping brass from decommissioned and outdated water meters and sending the reclaimed material for recycling.
This initiative not only reduces waste but also helps return value back to the utility by responsibly repurposing high-value metals. By recycling brass, RWR continues to promote environmental stewardship, efficient resource use, and cost-effective operations throughout our system.
