Β Our facility produces sodium hypochlorite on-site by combining salt, water, and electricity. A concentrated saltwater (brine) solution passes through the generation system, where an electrical current creates an electrochemical reaction that produces sodium hypochloriteβa highly effective disinfectant.
The freshly generated sodium hypochlorite is then carefully introduced into the water treatment process to eliminate harmful bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms before the water reaches homes and businesses throughout Rockdale County.
