The Water Supply Division is the quiet backbone of our community, working every day behind the scenes to protect one of the County’s most critical infrastructure assets, safeguard vital water resources, and plan responsibly for future generations.
During a recent internal quarterly inspection, Water Supply Specialist Greg Brown conducted monolith measurements at the dam—an essential component of dam safety monitoring. Monoliths are the individual concrete sections that form the dam structure. Monitoring these sections allows staff to track structural movement, internal water pressures, and seepage conditions.
This critical data helps confirm the dam is performing as designed and supports proactive maintenance efforts, ensuring the long-term protection of our water supply and the safety of downstream communities.
